Global Entry Trend Board
Chic, bohemian style with a side of wanderlust – that’s what you get from one of this year’s hottest design trends, Global Entry.

This worldly collective focuses on mixed elements with a handmade feel – like treasured items you might find at a market abroad. In Global Entry, you can mix colors and patterns to create interesting and invigorating interiors. Or, like us, you can stick to a simple color palette to set a more soothing scene using texture and pattern.

To create our look, we started with a stylish foundation. The Kuba Delight area rug and runner in Cloud Grey features a cool pattern that works effortlessly with this trend. These floor coverings are from Palmetto Living – in the Riverstone Collection – and offer a soft, sumptuous texture that’s stain-resistant and easy to clean.

Next, we layered in textured accent pieces – like a woven table runner and a funky centerpiece that offers handmade flair - for add visual interest and depth. Because we’re working to complement the modern neutrals of our area rug and runner, we opted for naturals and ivories.

Building on the look, we chose woven 3-D artwork for the walls and filled the corner with a gorgeous green plant in a woven basket. Woven chairs complete the look. If you don’t have these accessories on hand, a woven vase, jute plant hanger or multi-dimensional bowl will all do the trick.

Whether you choose to execute the Global Entry trend in neutral or a more vibrant hue, getting started is easy. Choose a gorgeous area rug and runner to set a strong foundation and work from the ground up! The area rug sets the main scene and the runner carries the look into your other living spaces to create continuity and comfort.

What do you think? How would you style this rug?
